About me

Small business and nonprofit mentor since 2020 with wide range of clients. Bring to clients a 40+ year career in consumer and business marketing and communications for major brands (Johnson & Johnson BirdEye, KFC, US Army Recruiting "Be All You Can Be") as Senior VP at global agency Y&R, as partner in a consulting firm, and as senior marketing & communications staff at three national/New York social services nonprofits. Previously a board member for four nonprofits and now serve on two nonprofit boards. Co-presenter of the "Marketing Fundamentals & Best Practices" workshop.

How do I work with Jim as a business mentor?

Business owners do not book mentors directly. The Ask for Jim button opens one short request, and the request notes that the owner asked for Jim. A person on the nhbm team then matches the owner based on need and mentor availability, so another mentor who fits may also be suggested.

Is there a cost to work with Jim?

No. Jim is a volunteer mentor with New Hampshire Business Mentors, and mentoring is free for business owners. There are no fees, no trial period and no account to create. Sessions are held on virtual calls, and owners keep meeting with their mentors for as long as the mentoring helps.
